Personal profile

I am a freelance film maker and theatre director making documentaries and films commissioned by a wide range of sources. I had an established theatre, television and radio career in Iran before having to choose the exile in France after the Islamic regime came to power. I founded Atelier e Théâtre with Bijan Mofid in1964 and our first presentation was very famous Shahr e Gheseh, 3 generation of success. This work permit creation of Workshop ( kargah e nemayesh. 10 most important years of modern theater of iran) I was a member of the ‘Independent Cinema’, a progressive and avant-garde film institute before the 1979 Revolution. I have managed to remain active in other fields such as women’s movement and build an alliance between my artistic work and my other commitments. I am passionate about my work and my commissions and projects become an integrated part of my life. Throughout my professional and personal life, I have remained a solid women’s rights advocate and activist. I am a highly energetic, adaptable and versatile artist.

MONTAGE

Je suis passée des techniques du montage argentique au montage virtuel que je maîtrise parfaitement (systèmesAVID et Final Cut pro et ....).
Mon expérience touche différents domaines :
l'actualité, le magazine et le documentaire, ainsi que la fiction.
J'ai travaillé au sein de différentes chaînes de télévision et avec des sociétés de productions indépendantes françaises et britanniques.
Depuis 1989, j'ai principalement collaboré avec la société Point du Jour Production, pour des films abordant des questions de sociétés et de politique internationale.
Mon savoir-faire me donne une totale autonomie technique et créative.
Mon expérience m'a souvent amenée à gérer seule de gros volumes de rushes et à assumer des montages sans la présence continue des réalisateurs.
J'ai ainsi monté de nombreux documentaires unitaires, ainsi que des docu-soaps, mais également des formats courts en série.
Je souhaite actuellement rencontrer de nouveaux réalisateurs et producteurs qui recherchent une monteuse professionnelle qui possède l'expérience de la narration et du récit par l'image.
